“When I think of this program, it evokes a very specific feeling in me. A feeling of anticipation, excitement and curiosity. Traveling to other countries has always fascinated me. Where better to learn a language than by talking to native speakers? Where better to learn about the customs and traditions of the country than with a family where these little things are part of their everyday life? Nevertheless, I am still a bit scared. Being away from family and home for so long is difficult to imagine. That's exactly why I decided to spend a year as an Au Pair with a host family. Personally, I like the idea that even though I am miles away from my familiar surroundings, I will still have a safe home. I have also loved children for as long as I can remember. Because of my little sister, I grew up with the responsibility of a big sister. They fill my life with so much joy and make me realize the meaning of life again: To have fun in it and enjoy every single moment to the fullest!”
