“I originally wanted to do an exchange year in 10th grade but I didn't feel ready at the time. Nevertheless, I knew I wanted to go abroad in some way when I was a bit older. So, when I looked more into being an au pair, I knew this was what I wanted to do. I love children and enjoy spending time with them. Therefore, I think it is the perfect opportunity for me to experience a new culture, improve my English skills, meet new people, make lifelong friends, and step out of my comfort zone.”
